weirdtechnogirlfriend & PAUL LE BÁY are a duo of dance music producers/DJs from Melbourne/Naarm, Australia. With a combined experience in music production of 22 years, the duo’s synergy has resulted in 10 high energy singles, their debut album “THE MIXTAPE” and countless SoundCloud bootlegs & mixes.

PLB has amassed over 1 billion streams across all of his previous projects. He produced a majority of the music for DJ Mag’s #5 DJ (Timmy Trumpet) between 2014–2022, including the hit single Freaks, and has also worked on records for Snoop Dogg, Fatman Scoop & NERVO. In 2022 PLB decided to leave the EDM world to challenge himself as a producer and gain full creative control — the genesis of weirdtechnogirlfriend and PAUL LE BÁY.

Together the duo have released on labels including Resound Records, Polyamor Berlin, Universal Music, Xelon Digital & Neon Records. WTG&PLB tracks get played regularly on Triple J and ‘WORLD GO ROUND’ was featured on BBC Radio 1, with industry support from the likes of Dom Dolla, Bad Boombox, Mischluft, OMAKS, Mika Heggemann and more.

Influenced by 90s rave culture, German techno and Melbourne’s own underground sound, WTG&PLB have created a unique combination of sounds. “We don’t like to box ourselves into just one sound” — genre-fluid, boundary-pushing, and never afraid to try something new.
